Hosted the 11th KOTI Mobility Colloquium(Generative AI and Mobility Data)
On April 9, the Korea Transport Institute (KOTI) held the 11th KOTI Mobility Colloquium to discuss the future of mobility services that will be brought about by transportation technology innovations and to identify R&D topics needed for them. The event was attended by Kim Young-chan, President of the Korea Transport Institute, Park Kyung-ah, Vice President of Research, Kim Young-guk, Research Associate, Lee Sung-bong and Park Sang-min, Associate Researchers, Kim In-hee, Professor of KAIST, Kim Eui-jin, Professor of Aju University, and Kim Jin-hee, Professor of Yonsei University.Prof. Inhee Kim of KAIST gave the first presentation, introducing scenario generation using generative AI, data augmentation, and the computerization of household traffic surveys. Next, Prof. Eunjin Kim of Aju University presented fast and sophisticated traffic data prediction using generative AI, and presented strategies for applying generalized methods to traffic problems. Professor Kim Jin-hee of Yonsei University emphasized the need for AI-based behavioral analysis using household traffic surveys and mobile data, and mentioned the importance of estimating traffic demand and labeling data based on communication data.
