KOTI Held a Session of the 5th International Electric and Automated Mobility Forum
The Korea Transport Institute (KOTI) held the '5th International Electric and Automated Mobility Forum' as a separate session on Thursday, September 9th at the 8th International Electric Vehicle Expo held at Jeju International Convention Center (ICC JEJU) from Tuesday, September 7th to Friday, September 10th. Starting with the opening remarks by Oh Jaehak, President of The Korea Transport Institute, the forum, which was followed by a welcoming speech by Mun Daerim, Chairman of JDC, and a congratulatory speech by Kim Daehwan, Chairman of the Global EV Association Network, was held under the themes of "Self-driving Policies and Future Vision" and "Empirical Cases for Self-driving-based Development and Services."

A study of the Road SOC Investment Strategies from a Transitional New Deal Perspective
As the trend of reduced economic growth of approximately 3% every year and reduced birth rates ranking globally among the lowest have persisted in Korea since 2015, a shift in the strategy of overall social investment is in demand. The Aparadigm shift for public investment in the road SOC is also necessary.
Recently, the Korean government has proposed a Korean New Deal in order to prepare for a postCOVID society, economic stimulus and job creation. The Korean New Deal includes the Digital New Deal, Green New Deal, and enhanced job security. As investment into road SOC has large effects on economic stimulus and job creation, it is necessary to actively include this project in the Korean New Deal.
In this study, we intend to establish a road SOC investment strategy from a perspective of the New Deal policy, effective for job creation and economic stimulus in response to internal and external socioeconomic changes (reduced growth, low birth rate, aging population, post-COVID society), and to propose a new direction for relevant policies based on this strategy.
